Salvatore Giorgio Dino

Founder & CEO

Founded by CEO Salvatore Giorgio Dino, D’ORO Collection is a luxury Italian publishing house based in Rome (Via Appia Antica), reviving the Dino family’s bookbinding legacy from 1965. Renowned for crafting ultra-premium, limited-edition books, D’ORO Collection crafts handmade volumes with centuries-old techniques including hand stitched binding, leather and silk pages, bas relief covers with gold leaf or bronze, and bespoke artisanal finishes.

Often in numbered editions, D’ORO Collection’s volumes bridge traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge formats. The D’ORO D’ART series incorporates video art into physical books – complete with embedded crystal screens and playback systems – curated by contemporary art figures like Barbara London, Valentino Catricalà and Dara Birnbaum.

D’ORO serves elite clients worldwide, including more than 36 states, numerous heads of state, royal families, Popes and multinational corporations. Their catalogue features prestigious titles such as Napoleone, Roma, The Golden Horses and official editions like DNA Lamborghini – many of which were produced for anniversaries in extremely limited runs. Positioning themselves as a “cultural luxury,” D’ORO emphasizes books not merely as literary objects but as heirlooms and museum-like art pieces designed to endure beyond the digital age.

Beyond their catalog, D’ORO offers bespoke commissions – custom projects ranging from corporate histories to family legacies—allowing clients to co-create each element from concept to completion, and to utterly breathtaking effect.
