Alexandra Wood is pioneering the future of bespoke menswear as the first female tailor on Savile Row who designs exclusively for men. Since founding her brand in 2007 she has a dedicated client base of over a thousand.
Based in Bishop’s Stortford, Wood’s service blends contemporary design with expert tailoring, creating wardrobe capsules that span from sharp businesswear to relaxed weekend and holiday collections. Lauded as “Tailor of the 21st Century”, Wood is credited with helping clients like Chuka Umunna land spots on GQ’s best-dressed list.
Wood honed her craft at the London College of Fashion, Harvey Nichols and Harrods, and became the youngest bespoke manager of Shanghai Tang, for whom she redesigned collections for royalty and private jet clients. Committed to redefining tradition with innovation, Wood is now developing an app to enable clients worldwide to order made-to-measure garments effortlessly.
